WHY I'M STANDING

Our party is one of the greatest forces for good the world has ever known. But let’s be honest, we have lost the trust of the British people and our reputation for competence.

We can make the first steps towards regaining that trust by demonstrating effective opposition united around our shared conservative values. But the new leader of our party will need to go much much further than that.

Over the coming months and years, I will drive the fundamental reforms vital to delivering a new compelling vision of what a conservative Britain can deliver for voters right up and down our great country.  Reaching out to those who backed Reform – whose decision should be respected and whose concerns must be addressed. But equally never forgetting that we need to present a compelling offer for those voters we lost to Labour, the Lib Dems and those who simply stayed at home.

We must also revolutionise our over centralised party organisation and forge it quickly into a dynamic, locally-focused campaign machine with our members right at its heart. A campaign machine that will be ready for the local elections in May. Ready to start our electoral fight back.

Under my leadership, we’ll get it right and win.

Back my campaign

Trust: I will unite and lead the whole conservative family in our mission to regain the trust of the British people on public services, immigration, and lower taxes.
change: I will forge a compelling new vision of what a conservative Britain can deliver for the whole country rooted in opportunity, aspiration and achievement.
win: I will revolutionise our outdated overcentralised party structure into a dynamic locally focused campaigning machine to win the upcoming local elections and the General Election.

Join the revolution

The local elections will soon be upon us. We have no time to spare!

We must revolutionise our over centralised party organisation to become a dynamic, locally-focused campaign machine with our members right at its heart.

And when I say revolutionise, I mean it!

I want you to input on who sits at the top table.

I want candidates in place well ahead of time and selected by local members.

I want your membership to be about real benefits not just requests for cash.

And I want CCHQ to be an extraordinary campaigning machine powering us on to win our council seats, build our membership and win the next General Election.

I went into parliament in my late 40s with ‘real world’ experience as an entrepreneur who built businesses from scratch both here and in the United States. I know how to drive change and get things done.

The revolution cannot wait – it starts now! But I need your ideas on how to best rebuild our party. So sign up now and let me know your ideas!
No time to lose
